VinFast’s Green Line: Revolutionizing Ride-Hailing with Unmatched Cost Efficiency

Zero-Cost Charging: Maximizing Profitability

For traditional ride-hailing vehicles, fuel expenses typically dominate operational costs, far exceeding maintenance and depreciation. Over time, as vehicles age, fuel consumption increases, further inflating these costs.

Enter VinFast’s Green Line—a series of purpose-built electric vehicles (Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green, Minio Green)—designed to revolutionize ride-hailing. These models have sparked excitement among drivers by addressing the long-standing challenge of high operational costs.

According to automotive expert Nguyá»…n Mạnh Thắng (WhatcarVN), drivers using Green Line vehicles can expect higher earnings and lower expenses. The most significant cost—energy—is virtually eliminated thanks to VinFast’s free charging policy, valid until June 2027.

Thắng estimates that a driver covering 10,000 km monthly would spend approximately VND 16 million on fuel for a gasoline vehicle, totaling nearly VND 200 million annually. Switching to an electric vehicle slashes this cost to just VND 5-6 million monthly, even when accounting for charging fees—a mere one-third of traditional fuel costs.

Experts agree: the Green Line enables drivers to earn more as they drive more.

Accelerated ROI with Xanh SM Platform

Drivers opting for the Green Line also benefit from VinFast’s partnership with GSM, offering unprecedented incentives. By joining the Xanh SM Platform, drivers enjoy a 90% revenue share—a market-leading rate that significantly shortens payback periods.

“With an initial investment of VND 770 million for a Limo Green (including registration, insurance, and other fees), a driver earning VND 1 million daily can recoup the vehicle cost in just over two years,” notes Thắng, highlighting the Limo Green’s market dominance.

Other models, such as the Herio Green and Minio Green, offer even faster payback times, with experienced electric vehicle drivers reporting recovery in just over a year.

VinFast further supports drivers with accessible financing options for the Green Line.

In December, customers benefit from a 4% discount under the “Vietnamese Spirit for a Green Future” campaign, up to VND 22 million in incentives for switching from gasoline to electric, and a subsidized 3% annual interest rate for the first three years (4% for Xanh SM Platform vehicles). Limo Green buyers also receive two years of comprehensive insurance, valued at VND 15 million.

Herio Green buyers can take advantage of a zero-down payment plan with monthly installments starting at VND 9.8 million. Exclusive Xanh SM Platform drivers receive an additional VND 700,000 monthly subsidy.
