At the Tasco Mobility Day 2025 event held on December 27th in Hanoi, Tasco Auto officially announced its plan to expand its product portfolio in the Vietnamese market for 2026.

Notably, alongside familiar brands, the company will introduce two entirely new names, Lotus and Zeekr, marking a significant step in its strategy to conquer the luxury and electric vehicle segments.

Lotus

According to a representative from Tasco Auto, the distribution of Lotus—the renowned British sports car brand—was confirmed in September 2025. This is seen as the next piece in Tasco Auto’s strategy to expand its automotive ecosystem, following popular brands like Geely, the near-luxury Lynk & Co, and the premium Volvo. In 2026, Tasco Auto plans to introduce three Lotus models in Vietnam, ranging from high-performance electric vehicles to internal combustion engine sports cars.

Among these, the Lotus Eletre, a pure electric CUV, offers two motor configurations with outputs of 603 horsepower and 905 horsepower. Its range varies from 410 to 600 km per charge, depending on the version. Upon its launch in Vietnam, the Eletre will compete directly with luxury electric SUVs such as the Porsche Macan EV, Audi Q6 e-tron, BMW iX3, and Mercedes EQE SUV.

Additionally, the Lotus Emeya, a pure electric sedan-coupe hybrid, targets performance-oriented customers. It also features two power levels of 603 horsepower and 905 horsepower, with a range of 435 to 610 km per full charge. The Emeya is positioned to compete with luxury electric sedans like the Audi e-tron GT, Porsche Taycan, BMW i4, and Mercedes EQE.

Most notably in the Lotus lineup is the Emira—the brand’s final internal combustion engine model. It boasts a turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine delivering 400 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission, or 430 Nm with a 6-speed automatic. It accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in 4.2–4.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 288 km/h.

Remarkably, the Lotus Emira—the brand’s last internal combustion engine model—will also be brought to Vietnam to cater to drivers who cherish the pure driving experience of a powerful turbocharged V6 engine.

Zeekr

Alongside Lotus, Zeekr garnered significant attention at the event. Tasco Auto’s confirmation of distributing Zeekr since September 2024 surprised domestic industry experts. Zeekr is a premium electric vehicle brand under Geely Holding Group, a large multinational automotive conglomerate based in China.

Despite its launch in 2021, Zeekr has recorded exponential growth, delivering over 310,000 vehicles globally. In Vietnam, the brand will debut with two flagship models: the Zeekr 7X and Zeekr 009.

The Zeekr 7X is a modern electric SUV built on the SEA platform, utilizing an advanced 800V electrical system to optimize charging time and performance. This model boasts an impressive range of up to 780 km with its 100kWh battery version.

Meanwhile, the Zeekr 009 is a large electric MPV developed on the Volvo EM90 chassis. This MPV stands out with its digitized interior and the 009 Grand version, which exudes a private jet-like ambiance. With a maximum output of 778 horsepower, the Zeekr 009 is not only a comfortable family vehicle but also one of the most powerful minivans on the market.
