Toyota Vios Soars in December 2025, Outselling Sibling Yaris Cross

On January 2, 2026, Toyota Motor Vietnam announced its sales figures for December 2025. During the final month of 2025, Toyota sold 8,329 vehicles to Vietnamese customers, marking a 7.7% growth. This result brought Toyota Vietnam’s total sales for 2025 to 71,954 units, an 8% increase compared to 2024.

In December 2025, Vietnamese consumers purchased 3,597 domestically assembled Toyota vehicles and 4,732 imported units. Meanwhile, the company’s hybrid vehicle sales reached 1,082 units, a 30.2% increase. For the entire year of 2025, Toyota Vietnam sold 8,474 hybrid vehicles, a 58% rise compared to 2024.

In the luxury segment, Lexus recorded sales of 390 units, a remarkable 75.6% growth. This achievement brought Lexus’ total sales for 2025 to 2,252 units. To date, Lexus has delivered a total of 16,064 vehicles to Vietnamese customers since its official launch in the market.

In December 2025, the Toyota Vios reclaimed its position as the brand’s top-selling model with 1,972 units sold, a 26.8% increase. The cumulative sales of this B-segment sedan for 2025 reached 13,424 units.

Closely following was the Toyota Yaris Cross with 1,393 units sold, a 19% decline. However, its total sales for the year reached 14,601 units.

The third best-selling Toyota model was the Veloz Cross, with 1,310 units delivered to customers, a 61.5% increase. This brought the total sales of this compact MPV to 8,346 units.

The Toyota Innova Cross sold 1,211 units in December 2025 and 8,096 units for the entire year. Compared to the previous month, this mid-size MPV saw a 49.3% growth.

Lastly, the Toyota Corolla Cross sold 539 units, a 45.4% decrease. However, its total sales for 2025 reached 8,708 units.

In December 2025, Toyota Vietnam implemented an official promotion program with discounts of up to 150 million VND. Combined with the year-end shopping surge, this initiative significantly boosted Toyota Vietnam’s sales.

In January 2026, Toyota Vietnam reduced its promotional offers. The Toyota Vios now only receives a 50% registration fee discount, down from the previous 100%. The Toyota Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio duo still enjoy a 100% registration fee discount, but the maximum discount value has decreased to 56-66 million VND.
