Bentley is gradually unveiling its all-new, fully electric SUV, though it remains in a secretive testing phase.
This marks the next strategic move by the British luxury automaker in its electrification roadmap, set to become the brand’s second SUV following the Bentley Bentayga.
Tentatively named the Urban SUV, this new model is positioned below the Bentayga in terms of segment, offering a more compact design and exclusively developed as a battery-electric vehicle. This shift underscores Bentley’s expansion of its SUV lineup, targeting a younger, urban-centric audience while maintaining its hallmark opulence.
The Urban SUV has been spotted multiple times undergoing tests in Europe. Cloaked in heavy camouflage and faux panels, its actual design remains elusive, with early images sparking debates over its aesthetic appeal.
However, digital renderings from Kolesa.ru suggest the production model could adopt a strikingly different appearance. The front fascia is expected to feature a sealed grille, painted to match the body and inspired by the EXP15 concept, replacing traditional vents. A standout element is the sleek headlight design borrowed from the ultra-rare Mulliner Batur, complemented by bold character lines along the body, blending modernity with Bentley’s regal DNA.
Inside, the Urban SUV marries traditional handcrafted artistry with futuristic technology. The centerpiece is a sweeping OLED display dominating the dashboard, reminiscent of Porsche’s “Flow Display.” While sharing some controls with Volkswagen Group siblings like Audi, Bentley elevates these elements with premium leather and polished metal accents, ensuring an unparalleled luxury experience.
Performance-wise, the SUV is built on the same platform as the Porsche Cayenne Electric. It’s anticipated to house a massive 113 kWh battery paired with an 800V system, enabling rapid charging—just 7 minutes for an additional 160 km range. Power output is equally impressive, starting at 604 hp and potentially reaching up to 1,139 hp in top-tier variants, positioning it among the world’s most powerful electric SUVs upon release.
