VinFast Hai Phong Automotive Manufacturing Complex Officially Rolls Out Its 200,000th Electric Vehicle This Year, Maintaining Its Dominance as Vietnam’s Best-Selling Car Brand for Over a Year with a Significant Lead Over Competitors.
The 200,000 vehicles produced at the VinFast Hai Phong factory in 2025 include both domestic sales and exports to international markets. In addition to the Hai Phong complex, VinFast also launched three other factories in Ha Tinh (Vietnam), Tamil Nadu (India), and West Java (Indonesia) in 2025.
The 200,000th vehicle to roll off the production line at the VinFast Hai Phong factory in 2025 is the Limo Green—a 7-seat all-electric MPV that has been making waves in Vietnam, achieving a record-breaking 9,642 units sold in November 2025 alone. This marks the highest monthly sales volume ever recorded for a single model, contributing to VinFast’s unprecedented sales record in Vietnam’s automotive history.
During the peak month of December, the factory’s capacity was maximized, producing nearly 26,000 vehicles. A record-breaking output of 1,062 vehicles was achieved on December 14, 2025, averaging nearly 43 vehicles per hour. This capacity rivals the world’s largest Gigafactories, showcasing the exceptional production optimization capabilities of the VinFast Hai Phong factory, which employs over 1,200 ABB robots, a flexible three-shift workforce of 18,000, and a 90% automated production process.
Beyond electric cars, the VinFast Hai Phong complex also achieved record-breaking production volumes for electric motorbikes and electric buses in 2025, underscoring the growing momentum of green transportation and its widespread adoption among the public.
Mr. Trinh Van Ngan, Deputy General Director of Global Manufacturing at VinFast, stated: “The milestone of 200,000 electric vehicles produced in 2025 at the VinFast Hai Phong factory alone is a testament to the intelligence, capability, and tireless efforts of the 18,000 employees working here. This is a significant and meaningful achievement, bolstering VinFast’s confidence in pursuing ambitious goals ahead. It demonstrates to the world the quality and prestige of the Vietnamese automotive brand and its people. With the expansion of our production network into key markets like India and Indonesia, I am confident that VinFast will achieve even more rapid and robust growth in 2026 and beyond.”
As of November 2025, VinFast had sold a total of 147,450 electric vehicles, solidifying its undisputed leadership in the domestic market. With record-breaking production volumes in December, VinFast is poised to conclude 2025 with the highest sales and market share in Vietnam’s automotive history.
