Vietnam’s luxury car market is abuzz with the news that dealerships have started accepting deposits for the Lac Hong 900 LX electric SUV.
According to sales consultants, the Standard version of the Lac Hong 900 LX is expected to be priced around VND 5 billion and will be delivered to customers in early 2026. While VinFast has not yet officially confirmed the price, the vehicle’s frequent appearances at recent media events suggest its commercialization is imminent.
The anticipated price of VND 5 billion is considered reasonable, especially when compared to the previously listed President model, which was priced at VND 4.6 billion. Notably, there’s also a rumored “Bulletproof” variant with a staggering price tag of VND 36 billion, though dealerships are currently focusing on taking orders for the Standard version.
The most significant difference between the two versions lies in their safety features and wheel designs. While the Standard model boasts 21-inch trendy wheels, the Bulletproof variant features 19-inch wheels paired with Run Flat tires, allowing the vehicle to travel an additional 80-100km even after a puncture.
In terms of exterior design, the Lac Hong 900 LX exudes an air of grandeur and luxury with its large faux grille. A standout feature is the gold-plated Lac bird emblem on the hood, which sets this flagship model apart from the rest of the lineup. The opulence continues inside the cabin, where premium materials such as Golden Nanmu wood, Nappa leather, and handcrafted gold accents create an atmosphere of refined elegance. Although it shares a similar 15.6-inch infotainment screen layout with the VF 9, the Lac Hong 900 LX is in a league of its own when it comes to fit and finish.
Passenger comfort is a top priority, with the second-row seats designed in a business-class style, offering 10-way power adjustments, heating, cooling, and leg rests. To ensure utmost privacy, the vehicle features a fixed partition between the driver’s compartment and the passenger area, along with soundproof glass, electric curtains, and an intercom system. The entertainment system is equally impressive, boasting a 14-speaker Audison premium sound system with a separate amplifier, transforming the cabin into a mobile concert hall.
Performance-wise, the SUV is equipped with dual electric motors, delivering a total output of 402 horsepower in the Standard version and up to 455 horsepower in the Bulletproof variant. The vehicle houses a 131kWh battery pack, providing a maximum range of 595km on a single charge for the standard model. Due to its larger body weight, which ensures stability and safety, the range is slightly lower than that of its sibling, the VF 9.
Before its official launch, the first batch of vehicles has already been deployed to transport international dignitaries during the 80th National Day celebrations, solidifying its position as a symbol of Vietnam’s modern automotive industry.
