In the recently released year-end summary video, alongside honoring its illustrious history in WRC and Paris-Dakar races, Mitsubishi cleverly teased a heavily camouflaged, all-new SUV. The revealed details suggest this is the 2026 Pajero Sport, a model carrying high expectations for a complete overhaul to reclaim its segment dominance.

Departing from the current generation’s softer aesthetics, the 2026 Pajero Sport embraces a more rugged and boxy design language. While sharing the fourth-generation Triton’s platform, this SUV appears to maintain its unique identity rather than directly adopting the pickup’s styling. The distinctive T-shaped headlights paired with a large grille reflect Mitsubishi’s latest design language, as seen on the Xforce. The overall aesthetic exudes toughness, masculinity, and the essence of a true off-road conqueror.

Speculation suggests Mitsubishi may drop the “Sport” suffix, reverting to the pure Pajero name.
