With just about a month left until the Lunar New Year, several new car models are set to launch in the Vietnamese market. Here’s a detailed look at what’s coming.
Toyota Hilux
According to current information, the new-generation Toyota Hilux will officially debut in Vietnam on January 19, 2026. Dealerships have been accepting pre-orders for this pickup truck since November 2025.

Toyota Hilux
Like its predecessor, the Toyota Hilux will be imported directly from Thailand. It’s expected to come in three variants: 4×2 MT, 4×2 AT, and 4×4 AT, with prices ranging from 700 million to 1 billion VND.
The new-generation Hilux boasts significant upgrades in design and features. In Thailand, it includes LED lighting, new side steps on the rear bumper, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system, digital climate control, electronic parking brake, 360-degree camera with underbody view, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 with adaptive cruise control and more.
Under the hood is the familiar 2.8L 1GD-FTV diesel engine, delivering 204 hp and 410 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission or 500 Nm with a 6-speed automatic. It will be available in both single-cab and dual-cab configurations.
The 4×4 variants now come standard with a rear differential lock and Multi-Terrain System (MTS), offering modes for Mud, Sand, Rock, and Snow.
Honda CR-V e:HEV
In November 2025, Honda announced that the hybrid version of the CR-V would be locally assembled instead of imported from Thailand. Additionally, a new hybrid variant, the e:HEV L, will join the Vietnamese lineup.

Honda CR-V e:HEV
Expected to launch in February 2026, the Honda CR-V e:HEV L is priced approximately 50 million VND lower than the current e:HEV RS, which is listed at 1.259 billion VND. Thus, the e:HEV L is anticipated to cost around 1.25 billion VND.
Notable changes include the replacement of the traditional gearshift with a modern Shift-by-wire system, enhancing the cabin’s sleekness and functionality.
The powertrain remains unchanged, featuring a 2.0L Atkinson Cycle engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined 204 hp and 335 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to the front wheels via a CVT transmission. The vehicle offers three driving modes: EV (electric), Hybrid, and Engine (gasoline).
Lynk & Co 900
At the Vietnam Mobility Show 2025 in late December, Chinese brand Lynk & Co showcased the new 900 model. It is scheduled to launch in Vietnam in January 2026.

Lynk & Co 900
Dealerships are already accepting deposits, with an expected price tag of around 3.2 billion VND.
Positioned as a large SUV, the Lynk & Co 900 competes with the VinFast VF 9. It sits above the Lynk & Co 08 and 09 models currently available in Vietnam.
The interior features a 6-seat layout with premium amenities, including a 12.66-inch digital cluster, a 30-inch 6K ultra-wide touchscreen, dual wireless charging pads, a 30-inch rear entertainment screen, and a sliding mini-fridge.
Power comes from a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0L turbocharged engine and three electric motors, delivering a total output of 884 hp. The electric-only range exceeds 200 km under the WLTP cycle.
VinFast Lạc Hồng 900 LX
Also featured at the Vietnam Mobility Show 2025, the VinFast Lạc Hồng 900 LX is now available for pre-order, with a projected price of 5 billion VND.

Based on the VinFast VF 9 electric SUV, the Lạc Hồng 900 LX is a limited-edition model celebrating Vietnamese heritage. It features a 3,349 mm wheelbase and exterior details inspired by traditional Vietnamese culture.
The interior offers a 5-seat, 2-row configuration, adorned with premium materials such as Golden Nanmu wood, Nappa leather, and genuine gold accents.
Standard features include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, a 13-speaker Audison sound system with a subwoofer and external amplifier, rear executive seats with footrests, a privacy glass partition, electric curtains, and an intercom system between the front and rear cabins.
