At the 2026 Brussels Auto Show, South Korean brand Kia officially unveiled its all-new EV2 model.
Positioned as a compact all-electric vehicle, the Kia EV2 targets urban customers seeking flexibility without compromising family-friendly space. With a length just over 4 meters, the EV2 rivals A+ segment cars in Vietnam like the VinFast VF 5, boasting a bolder and more modern design language.
Its exterior impresses with signature vertical headlights, flared wheel arches, and a sturdy stance. Catering to style-conscious buyers, Kia offers diverse wheel options ranging from 16 to 19 inches, including a sporty GT-Line variant.
Performance-wise, the Kia EV2 features a front-axle electric motor delivering up to 145 horsepower. Notably, Kia provides two battery options: a standard 42.2 kWh pack offering approximately 317 km of range, and a premium 61 kWh version extending range to an impressive 448 km—a standout figure for a compact urban EV.
Inside, the cabin maximizes practicality while integrating cutting-edge technology. The EV2 features a seamless triple-screen setup: a digital instrument cluster, central infotainment display, and dedicated climate control screen.
Though detailed dimensions remain undisclosed, this layout minimizes physical buttons. The interior offers configurable 4 or 5-seat arrangements, with sliding and fold-flat rear seats. This flexibility yields a 403-liter trunk capacity under standard conditions, ideal for short trips.
While official pricing is pending, experts estimate the EV2 will start around €30,000 (approximately 920 million VND). With its balanced performance and space-optimized design, the EV2 is poised to shake up the global entry-level electric vehicle segment.
