The mid-size sedan Honda Accord has quietly disappeared from the official product catalog of Honda Vietnam’s website, signaling its discontinuation in the Vietnamese market.
A representative from Honda Vietnam confirmed this news, stating that the remaining inventory of the previous-generation Honda Accord has been sold out. The company has no plans to import the new generation of this D-segment sedan into Vietnam.
This marks the second D-segment sedan to exit the Vietnamese market in recent months, following the Mazda6. As a result, the D-segment sedan category in Vietnam now features only two models: the Toyota Camry and the Kia K5.
The discontinuation of the Honda Accord in Vietnam was anticipated by many. Similar to the Mazda6, the primary reason for its withdrawal is poor sales performance, which failed to meet expectations.
In December 2025, Honda sold only 2 Accord units in Vietnam, a 75% decline compared to the previous month. For the entire year of 2025, the Accord’s total sales reached just 42 units, significantly lower than the segment leader, the Toyota Camry, which sold 2,489 units. Even the Kia K5, often featured among the least-selling cars in Vietnam, outperformed the Accord with 267 units sold in 2025.
Several factors contributed to the Honda Accord’s weak sales in Vietnam. Firstly, its high starting price of 1.319 billion VND and the availability of only one variant were disadvantages. Additionally, the Accord’s design and features had remained unchanged for several years, diminishing its appeal. The shifting preferences of Vietnamese consumers, who now favor high-clearance vehicles like SUVs, pickup trucks, and MPVs over low-slung sedans, also played a role.
Currently, Honda Vietnam’s automotive product lineup includes the CR-V, City, Civic, BR-V, and HR-V. Among these, the Honda City is the best-selling model, with 10,899 units sold in 2025. The Honda HR-V and CR-V follow, with 6,665 and 6,224 units sold, respectively.

Starting July 14, 2025, the CUV e: will be available for lease, bundled with two batteries and two chargers, in limited quantities across three major cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.
