Just a few days ago, Bugatti teased something on social media, and the world instantly assumed it was an entirely new Veyron, despite the EB 16.4 line ceasing production in 2015. In reality, they were both right and wrong simultaneously. Why is that?

This new vehicle is indeed entirely new, and while it mirrors the original Veyron down to the smallest detail, including colors inspired by the prototype, it’s part of the Solitaire program, making it a one-of-a-kind creation like the Brouillard.
This bespoke masterpiece wasn’t just teased—it was leaked, and now the secret is officially out, thanks to the luxury automaker.

“Twenty years ago, the Bugatti Veyron redefined the possibilities of the automotive industry. With 1,001 horsepower, a top speed exceeding 400 km/h, and unparalleled refinement in a high-performance car, it created an entirely new segment: the GT hypercar,” the company stated in its introduction, referencing the Bugatti Veyron.
But there’s a twist—this second and only model from the Solitaire program, alongside the Brouillard, is a dual tribute. It’s a living homage to both the original Veyron and the visionary behind it, Professor Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piech.

Furthermore, despite its Veyron-like appearance, it’s something else entirely—a fusion of the Veyron and Chiron Super Sport, powered by the Bugatti W16 engine with four turbochargers, delivering a staggering 1,578 horsepower.
Additionally, the bodywork has been redesigned to evoke the original Veyron with modern touches—signature elements include slimmer headlights and other details, but it remains faithful to its inspiration overall.

The brand emphasizes that “like all Solitaire projects, it completely redesigns the bodywork, interior details, and offers ultimate customization, celebrating the profound stories woven into Bugatti’s heritage.”
Externally, the car features a deep red and black finish, actually dyed exposed carbon fiber, perfectly blending to recreate the Veyron’s essence. The interior boasts unique details like a steering wheel and center console milled from solid aluminum, incorporating an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon 41 mm watch. The tunnel cover is also crafted from a single block of aluminum.
Additionally, there are exclusive Couture fabrics, woven in Paris, and “a watch with a self-winding mechanism: a chamber rotating on a diagonal axis multiple times per hour, powered by the car itself without electrical connection.” This showcases Bugatti’s ability to “meet highly specific demands as part of the Solitaire program.”
