On the morning of January 24, 2026, car enthusiasts in Vietnam were thrilled to finally witness the first Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992 street-legal race car hitting the roads, whether viewed on screens or in person. The excitement was palpable after years of anticipation.
This particular Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992 boasts a white exterior, red rims, and the luxurious Weissach Package, making it a fully loaded “beast” with no room for additional options. Its on-road price is expected to exceed 25 billion VND.

The new generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS focuses heavily on racetrack-inspired design and technology, promising an unparalleled driving experience. A new central radiator replaces the three radiators of the 991.2 model, allowing Porsche to incorporate new active aerodynamic elements at the front of the 992.
This design generates 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, doubling the 991.2’s performance. At 285 km/h, downforce reaches 860 kg. The car also features a drag reduction system, a first for a production Porsche.
Powering the 992 GT3 RS is a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine producing 518 horsepower, thanks to a new camshaft with single-throttle intake, derived from racing technology. Each throttle input delivers an exhilarating driving sensation. Porsche pairs this engine exclusively with a 7-speed PDK automatic transmission.

Porsche claims the 911 GT3 RS 992 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 296 km/h, slightly lower than the previous model’s 312 km/h.
Braking is handled by a 6-piston front and 4-piston rear system, with Porsche’s largest ceramic brakes available as an option. Lightweight alloy wheels feature 20-inch fronts and 21-inch rears with racing-style center locks.
The 992 GT3 RS sheds weight through extensive use of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), resulting in a curb weight of 1,482 kg. Porsche offers a free Clubsport package for non-US markets, including a steel roll cage, six-point harnesses, and a handheld fire extinguisher.

The Weissach Package adds carbon fiber accents to exterior components and CFRP parts like front and rear anti-roll bars, rear axle covers, and interior roll bars. Buyers can further upgrade to magnesium wheels for additional weight savings at an extra cost.
The 992 GT3 RS offers three driving modes: Normal, Sport, and Track. Track mode allows customization of suspension, rear differential, and more. The steering wheel features four rotary dials for settings and a dedicated DRS button.
This particular 992.1 GT3 RS belongs to a Vietnamese entrepreneur. A mid-cycle 992.2 update is expected in two years, though pre-orders remain unconfirmed.
