Following the unveiling of a stunning white Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992 with red rims and the exclusive Weissach Package, car enthusiasts were treated to another sighting of a similar model at an authorized dealership. This time, the car was finished in black with red rims, and its owner opted not to include the pricey Weissach Package. Interestingly, these two Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992 models, one white and the other black, are owned by different individuals.

The second Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992 to arrive in Vietnam showcases a sleek black exterior with red rims, a striking contrast that accentuates its aggressive design.

The latest generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a masterpiece of engineering, blending cutting-edge technology with a race-focused design philosophy. A new central radiator replaces the three radiators of the previous 991.2 model, allowing Porsche to integrate advanced active aerodynamics at the front. This innovation generates an impressive 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, doubling the performance of its predecessor. At 285 km/h, the downforce peaks at 860 kg, and the car features a drag reduction system, a first for a production Porsche.

Powering this beast is a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, delivering a maximum output of 518 horsepower. This engine, derived from racing technology, ensures an exhilarating driving experience with every press of the accelerator. Porsche pairs this powerhouse exclusively with a 7-speed PDK automatic transmission.

Porsche claims the 911 GT3 RS 992 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 296 km/h, slightly lower than the previous model’s 312 km/h.

Braking is handled by a powerful system featuring 6-piston calipers at the front and 4-piston calipers at the rear, with Porsche’s largest ceramic brakes available as an option. Lightweight alloy wheels, measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, are secured with race-inspired center locks.

Weight reduction is a key focus for the 992 generation, achieved through extensive use of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) in its construction, resulting in a curb weight of 1,482 kg. Porsche offers the Clubsport package as a complimentary upgrade, including a steel roll cage, six-point racing harnesses, and a handheld fire extinguisher, though this package is not available in the US market.

The Weissach Package is also available, featuring carbon fiber accents on exterior components and CFRP elements such as front and rear anti-roll bars, rear axle trim, and interior roll bars. Buyers of this package can further enhance their vehicle with optional magnesium wheels for additional weight savings, at an extra cost.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS offers three driving modes: Normal, Sport, and Track. The Track mode allows drivers to fine-tune various settings, including front and rear shock absorbers and rear differential. The steering wheel incorporates four rotary dials for personalized settings and a dedicated DRS button, ensuring an immersive and customizable driving experience.
