Recently, Lexus dealerships in Vietnam have unexpectedly announced the opening of deposits for the 8th generation Lexus ES 2026.

Vietnam is among the first countries to open deposits for this model, even before its official launch in key markets such as the US, Japan, or Europe. This move highlights the special priority given by the Japanese luxury car brand to Vietnamese customers, who have always favored the durability and elegance characteristic of the ES line.

According to dealership sources, the Lexus ES 2026 is expected to be distributed in three main versions. The first two are the ES 350h, with estimated prices of VND 2.36 billion and VND 2.58 billion, respectively. These versions share the same engine configuration but differ in equipment lists. Notably, there is the introduction of the all-electric ES 500e variant, with an expected price of around VND 2.98 billion. The first vehicles are anticipated to arrive in Vietnam by May 2026, with deliveries to the first owners starting in August of the same year.

The Lexus ES 2026 marks a bold transformation in design, inheriting many elements from the LF-ZC concept. It boasts a sharp and futuristic style, featuring a modern hidden door handle system. The front fascia of the electric version has a closed grille, while the Hybrid version retains the signature spindle grille but in a more compact form. Both front and rear lighting systems feature sharp L-shaped graphics, creating an unmistakable brand identity on the streets.

Inside, the new generation Lexus ES cabin eliminates most physical buttons, embracing minimalism and technology. The centerpiece is a large central touchscreen paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and front passengers may even have their own dedicated entertainment screen. A subtle highlight is the interior ambient lighting system that interacts with music rhythms and a fragrance diffuser with five exclusive scents. Among these, the bamboo scent, rich in Asian essence, promises to create a unique relaxing space for the elite.

Powering the ES 350h is a Hybrid powertrain combining a 2.5L gasoline engine and an electric motor, producing a total output of 243 horsepower. Meanwhile, the all-electric ES 500e variant is equipped with an electric motor delivering up to 338 horsepower and a range of approximately 402 km on a full charge.

With an expected price range of VND 2.36 to 2.98 billion, the Lexus ES 2026 will pose significant competitive pressure on rivals in the same segment, such as the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Volvo S90, in the coming period.
