Toyota and Lexus Cars Equipped with Standard Automatic Braking System Since 2017

This system is now an optional low-cost on most products from 2 brands and is included in the Lexus Safety System+ and Toyota Safey Sense packages.

Toyota and Lexus vehicles come standard with automatic braking since 2017 in the US.

“At Toyota, we are committed to creating better ways to move everyone,” said Jim Lentz, CEO of Toyota North America. “Advanced driver assistance technologies can help protect people better in the event of a collision.”

The driver assistance technologies are designed to assist in 3 areas: preventing or reducing frontal collisions (including passenger protection), helping the driver maintain the correct lane, and enhancing road safety when driving at night.
