The Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (i-ACC) system is designed to predict and automatically react to other vehicles cutting across.

The system uses a camera and radar to detect other vehicles on the road and then uses algorithms to predict the likelihood of vehicles in adjacent lanes cutting across.

As a result, the i-ACC system can identify situations up to 5 seconds before they occur. When this happens, the vehicle will notify the driver and gently apply the brakes.

Honda states that the process is smooth and subtle, unlike traditional adaptive cruise control systems.

This system will be equipped on the European version of the CR-V 2015 and gradually introduced to other models in the future.
