Designed to prevent smartphones from overheating while being wirelessly charged, this system uses an air vent to deliver cool air into the charging pad where the phone rests while charging.
The phone will be kept cool while charging.
This is not a new invention, but Chevrolet says that smartphones overheating is an issue that engineers have to address during testing in extreme weather conditions.

In these conditions, the smartphone may stop charging or shut down for a few minutes at high temperature inside the car cabin.
