Nissan recently announced the upgraded version of the 2024 X-Trail midsize SUV with a modern design, along with notable updates in terms of interior technology.

The most noticeable upgrade of the 2024 Nissan X-Trail is the new large grille with wide horizontal slats. This design has been applied to some new models of the brand, such as Almera and Altima. The front bumper area and the taillights of the car have also been refined. Meanwhile, the two-tier headlight system remains the same as the previous version.

In addition, Nissan has also updated the exterior color palette of this SUV model, adding 3 new colors: Everest White Pearl, Deep Ocean Blue Pearl, and Baja Storm.

For the top-of-the-line Platinum version, the 2024 Nissan X-Trail will have additional glossy black accents on the mudguards, side skirts, and front/rear bumper, along with 19-inch alloy wheels with multi-spoke design, two-tone black-gray paint.

The interior layout of the Nissan X-Trail 2024 is similar to the previous version but significantly upgraded in terms of technology. Notably, this is the first Nissan model to have a built-in Google application infotainment system (Google Built-in). This allows apps including Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play to be integrated into the car’s touchscreen display along with all information from the owner’s personal Google Account (address, contacts, etc.) without the need to connect a mobile device.

Google Built-in is equipped on the high-end SL and Platinum versions, along with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a digital instrument cluster. Meanwhile, lower trims such as S and SV are only equipped with an 8-inch center touchscreen, with wired Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support.

The Nissan X-Trail 2024 is also upgraded in terms of safety features. In which, the Nissan Safety Shield 360 ADAS system is a standard equipment in all trims. X-Trail SV adds ProPilot Assist automatic steering support system. The high-end SL and Platinum trims are also equipped with the Navi-Link satellite navigation system.

The 2024 Nissan X-Trail in the US market is not upgraded in terms of performance equipment. The hood of this SUV model still houses the VC-Turbo turbocharged petrol engine with a displacement of 1.5L, delivering a maximum power of 201 horsepower and a peak torque of 305 Nm. Therefore, the North American version of the car does not have the e-Power hybrid drivetrain like the version for European and Japanese markets.

Nissan has not yet announced the official pricing of the new X-Trail. The car will be available at dealerships in the US from early 2024.
