Chevrolet Traverse Z71 2024 comes with an increased ground clearance of over 1 inch (25.4 mm), combined with unique 18-inch off-road tires wrapped around the wheels and a four-wheel drive system, exclusive dual-clutch. In addition, the approach angle of the vehicle has also been improved.
Meanwhile, the standout feature of the Traverse RS is its unique badge and new high-gloss 22-inch aluminum wheels, combined with black accents on the grille and roof rails. Inside, the Traverse RS features a flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel, Jet Black interior, and red accents.
The Traverse 2024 will also be available in LS and LT versions. Powering the 2024 lineup is a new 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, producing 315 horsepower and a maximum torque of 430 Nm. The current version’s V6 3.6L engine has a power output of 310 horsepower and a torque of 361 Nm.
The vehicle comes standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive (AWD) is also available, with the Traverse Z71 variant featuring an exclusive dual-clutch system.
The Traverse RS variant features a one-touch folding second-row seat and standard power-folding third-row seat. Folding all the seats down helps expand the cargo capacity to 2,763 liters.
An advantage of the Traverse 2024 is the 17.7-inch infotainment screen on the dashboard, which Chevrolet claims is 75% larger than the largest screen on the 2023 version. The vehicle comes standard with 6 USB ports, wireless phone charging, and a WiFi hotspot. Behind the steering wheel is an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, which is also larger than the predecessor version. The front and second-row seats are heated, the steering wheel is heated, and the exterior side mirrors are heated. The Super Cruise automatic driving system is also available on the Traverse 2024.
The Traverse 2024 is equipped with new front and rear lighting systems with standard LED technology. Alongside that are a range of standard driving and safety assist technologies, including Chevrolet Safety Assist, which includes emergency automatic braking, distance monitoring, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist with lane departure warning, automatic headlights, and forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection.
Chevrolet has not yet announced the price of the Traverse 2024, but it is likely to be adjusted upwards compared to the predecessor version. The 2023 Traverse LS FWD has a starting price of $35,915 (including destination charge). Meanwhile, the RS version has a price starting from $46,440.
