At the 2023 New York Auto Show, Genesis will showcase the GV80 Coupe Concept, which has a sporty design. This is a 4-seater crossover that takes design inspiration from the X Speedium Coupe Concept introduced last year. Therefore, we can see that the GV80 Coupe Concept combines elements of the current GV80 design with the dynamic design of the X Speedium concept.
The Korean automaker stated that the GV80 Coupe Concept is a preview of future Genesis models, which aim for performance and promise to provide a more exciting driving experience for users.
The front of the GV80 Coupe Concept stands out more than the current GV80 with slimmer LED headlights using new multi-lens technology. In addition, the front of the car looks bold with large air intakes. Meanwhile, looking from the side, the sloping roofline gives the GV80 Coupe Concept a very eye-catching overall look. Moreover, this concept model also has horizontal LED strips above the front wheel arches, which look quite unique.
It is hard to deny that the most prominent feature in the design of this concept model is the rear of the car. The LED strip runs along the entire width of the rear, similar to the X Speedium Concept, combined with a spoiler attached to the trunk and another spoiler on the roof. The bright orange exterior paint named Magma also contributes to a bold and striking appearance for the GV80 Coupe Concept.
Genesis has also made significant changes to the interior of the GV80 to create the Coupe Concept. For example, the three-spoke steering wheel has been refined, the interior is covered with black Nappa leather and suede with orange stitching and carbon fiber accents. The car has 4 sports seats finished in orange, matching the exterior. The car is equipped with a rear anti-roll bar behind the second-row seats.
