The car is equipped with an entertainment system with a 15-inch touchscreen that can slide up or down according to the driver’s preference, and this also helps to conceal a separate lockable storage compartment for storing valuable items in the car. The central screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. In addition, the car also has standard wireless charging functionality.
Other convenience features on the Explorer EV include heated front seats and steering wheel, massage function for the driver’s seat, and dual-zone automatic air conditioning. Furthermore, the car is equipped with a hands-free power tailgate.
For advanced driver assistance systems, the Explorer EV features a Lane Change Assist system to assist with safe lane changes and a Safe Door Opening Assist to alert cyclists approaching, especially in busy city streets.
In Europe, the all-electric Ford Explorer is offered in two variants, Explorer and Explorer Premium, with an expected starting price of under 45,000 Euros (49,000 USD).
