The upcoming Tiguan is built on the MQB evo platform and is larger than its predecessor. The German automaker says the 2024 Tiguan is more than 3 cm longer overall, while the height, width, and wheelbase length are almost identical. The increased legroom also helps improve the standard cargo volume by an additional 37 liters to 652 liters.

In terms of design, the new SUV model has softer lines. The front end stands out with the new IQ.Light HD matrix LED headlights, combined with a closed grille that can be illuminated.

Moving towards the rear, we find elongated taillights that span the width of the rear with a large black panel on the bumper.

Inside the cabin, the interior of the new generation Volkswagen Tiguan will be equipped with a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment display placed on the dashboard.

Volkswagen also points out the optional Driving Experience Control mode on the center control panel. This is a rotary controller with a separate small screen to control driving modes, radio volume, or interior ambient light colors.

Using the MQB evo platform allows for the use of various types of powertrains, including turbocharged diesel engines (TDI), turbocharged gasoline engines (TSI), mild hybrid turbocharged gasoline engines (eTSI), and plug-in hybrid systems (eHybrid). The PHEV models are expected to have an all-electric range of up to 100 km and are available for the first time with an AC charger and faster DC fast charging. After its global debut in autumn (from September to November in Germany), the new generation Tiguan will be available for sale in 2024.
