At the beginning of 2020, the first Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R to arrive in Vietnam immediately created a craze. Now Kawasaki continues to launch a new version of the Ninja ZX-25R with a super cool color. This promises to be a breath of fresh air in the 250 segment.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R carries a design language that is familiar to Japanese brand enthusiasts who have seen it on previous Ninja generations such as the ZX-6R, ZX-10R today, and even the new generation Ninja 250 with 400.
The front part of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R 2023 is angular with an air vent hole in the middle, creating a triangular shape. This is a detail with aerodynamic properties, which only appears on models with higher performance and engine displacement such as the ZX-6R and ZX-10R.
In 2023, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R returned with a new fairing and many upgrades: LED turn signals, the ability to connect to the phone through Rideology the App, Circuit Mode, adjustable front forks, improved exhaust shape and position.
The rider assistance technologies on this sport bike include a Quick Shifter system, ABS braking system, and Kawasaki-developed 3-level traction control (KTRC), integrated with multiple riding modes, an LCD display that can be connected to the phone via Bluetooth.
Providing power for the Ninja ZX-25R 2023 is a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder DOHC engine, liquid-cooled, with a capacity of 250cc. The Ninja ZX-25R is the only one in its segment to have a 4-cylinder engine.
The vehicle can generate a maximum power of up to 47 horsepower at 15,500 rpm and a peak torque of 22 Nm at 12,500 rpm. Kawasaki claims the ZX-25R can reach speeds of up to 197 km/h.
The weight of the Ninja ZX-25R 2023 is only 184 kg. The length, width, and height are 1,980 mm, 750 mm, and 1,110 mm respectively. The short wheelbase of 1,380 mm enhances the bike’s agility. The seat height of 785 mm is compatible with the majority of Asian body types.
Ninja ZX-25R uses upside-down front forks with a diameter of 37 mm and a rear link-type suspension system. In particular, the 2023 version’s forks can be adjusted for preload, according to the rider’s individual needs.
The biggest change is the position and shape of the exhaust. The Ninja ZX-25R is equipped with an exhaust with a sound reducing system that meets the current Euro 4 emission standards in Japan. Instead of being arranged under the chassis, the 2023 generation has the exhaust pipe closer to the engine, similar to the Ninja ZX-10R. This helps increase performance and emit cleaner exhaust.
