The Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 has arrived at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The car is expected to be available at dealerships in the U.S. in March 2024.
In the new generation, the Hyundai Santa Fe seems to have an exclusive design with straight lines and angular accents, replacing the previous soft curves and flowing surfaces. At this point, the appearance is not surprising, but this model still attracts attention with its H-shaped headlights, angular fender extensions…
The designers have also equipped this crossover with H-shaped taillights, a wider tailgate, and optional 21-inch wheels.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2024 Santa Fe has increased in size with an overall length of 4,830 mm and a wheelbase length of 2,815 mm, an increase of 46 and 48 mm, respectively.
Moving inside, the cabin impresses with its luxurious and spacious feel. The car is equipped with a panoramic curved display, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system.
Other key features include a premium Bose 12-speaker sound system, dual wireless phone charging, and relaxing seats with footrests. Additionally, the 2024 Santa Fe is equipped with digital key technology, digital rearview mirror, and UV-C sterilization compartment.
Furthermore, the Santa Fe offers more convenient second and third-row seating. The legroom for the second-row seats has increased by 36 mm, while the third-row passengers now have the best legroom in the segment.
In terms of safety features, the new Santa Fe comes with a range of driver assistance systems including Intelligent Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist, Front Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist. Other systems include Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Assist, Remote Smart Parking Assist, Safe Exit Assist, and Surround View Monitor.
The Santa Fe will also be the first Hyundai in the U.S. to feature driver inattention warning. The car uses infrared cameras to monitor the driver and see where they are looking.
For customers looking for a more rugged and adventurous model, the Santa Fe XRT variant is available. This model, previewed earlier this year as a concept, features a unique exterior with black accents and dark chrome trim highlights.
In terms of performance, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 comes with two turbocharged engines, including a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with 277 horsepower and 421 Nm of torque, which is significantly more powerful than the previous naturally aspirated 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with 191 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque.
For environmentally-conscious customers, there is also a 1.6L 4-cylinder turbocharged hybrid engine available, with a combined power output of 232 horsepower and 367 Nm of torque. These figures are slightly higher than the previous hybrid version with 226 horsepower. The engines are paired with six and eight-speed automatic transmissions.
The pricing for the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe in the U.S. has not yet been announced.
