The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 will officially kick off next month. The exhibition will welcome not only consumer electronics brands, but also automobile and motorcycle manufacturers. One of them is the Chinese motorcycle brand Davinci Motor.
“The CES 2023 exhibition will be a perfect opportunity for us to introduce our products to the US market“, said Rosanna Libia, Davinci’s International Business Director.
As part of CES 2023, Davinci will exhibit its electric motorcycle model called DC100. According to the manufacturer, the Davinci DC100 will be a competitive rival to traditional 1,000 cc motorcycles in terms of performance.
Specifically, the Davinci DC100 is equipped with a 17.7 kWh battery pack, providing power to a 134 horsepower and 850 Nm electric motor. As a result, this electric motorcycle can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just under 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 km/h.
In addition, the Davinci DC100 has a range of 400 km after a full charge, according to NEDC test cycles. With a DC fast charger, the charging time for a full battery is about 30 minutes.
In addition to impressive performance figures, the Davinci DC100 also sports a unique design with extended body panels that reach down to the lower side of the motorcycle. It is accompanied by asymmetric circular headlights, a digital instrument cluster, 17-inch wheels, Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires, and Brembo braking system.
According to Davinci, this electric motorcycle features an integrated aluminum frame and a composite body shell. As a result, the motorcycle weighs 255 kg.
Furthermore, the Davinci DC100 features modern digital lock technology, similar to some car models currently on the market. With this technology, riders can use the Davinci app on their smartphones as a substitute for traditional keys to start the motorcycle.
According to Davinci, the DC100 is like a “two-wheel robot” with over 1,000 chips and more than 200 advanced sensors to monitor environmental conditions, vehicle movements, road conditions, battery temperature, electric motor temperature, inclination angle, and more. This information is combined to accurately control the vehicle’s electrical system and ensure optimal performance under all conditions.
Another highlight of the Davinci DC100 is its regenerative braking system, software updates via Wi-Fi, and safety features such as traction control. Furthermore, Davinci promises that the DC100 will have additional advanced features in the future, such as self-balancing, automatic parking, and remote vehicle control. Additionally, it will feature autonomous driving and target recognition, allowing the motorcycle to automatically follow selected targets chosen by the rider.
It is expected that this Chinese electric motorcycle will have a price of $27,500 in the US market. Davinci is a technology company founded in 2013 with a commitment to research and develop user-friendly and impressive operating automated vehicles.
