According to the three-pointed star brand, the company will soon produce headlights equipped with 84 LED bulbs. This is considered a new step as Mercedes-Benz has previously introduced headlights with 24 LED bulbs on the current CLS line.

Upgrading the headlight system to 84 LED bulbs helps increase the lighting range up to 600m, optimizing visibility for the driver.

Unlike Audi’s laser headlight technology, Mercedes-Benz still maintains production costs while being easy to maintain. In addition, this new technology also meets the lighting standards allowed by the European market.

Mercedes-Benz will start testing this new generation headlight technology on some models in 2015. If the test results are positive, in the near future, the German manufacturer will officially equip it for its product lines.
