Entering the Vietnamese market is the second big step for the company in the past two weeks, following the announcement of plans to enter the European market, starting with France. The product line launched in Vietnam this time includes four scooter models and one motorcycle, including TVS Dazz, TVS NTORQ, TVS Callisto 110, TVS Callisto 125, and TVS Rockz. All of them are imported from Indonesia.
TVS’s distribution partner is Minh Long, an imported vehicle business with a main showroom network in the South. For this reason, TVS chooses this region as its main development point, with the target of having about 300 dealers within the next 6 months. The number is the largest market share of two companies in the current motorcycle market in Vietnam, such as Honda with nearly 800 dealers and Yamaha with over 500 dealers.
Having a low price is considered an advantage of TVS motorcycles when competing with rivals in Vietnam. However, this does not necessarily guarantee the brand’s ability to attract customers. Suzuki and Taiwanese brands like SYM and Kymco also have attractively priced models compared to Japanese motorcycles, but users still primarily pay attention to Honda and Yamaha models.
