The engine options of the 4Runner are likely to be similar to the Tacoma as both models have a close relationship with each other. According to leaked information posted by a user on the 4Runner6G forum, the new generation Toyota 4Runner will no longer have a V6 option.
In addition, the 4Runner could also have the i-Force Max hybrid drivetrain, which includes a four-cylinder gasoline engine combined with two electric motors, producing 316 horsepower.
