On March 21, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) officially launched the 2024 generation of Accent in the Indian market with a starting price of 1,089,000 Rs (equivalent to 310 million VND). The highest-end version has a price of 1,737,000 Rs (500 million VND).
In typical Hyundai fashion, the 2024 Hyundai Accent has been completely overhauled compared to its predecessor. The exterior adheres to the latest Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy and draws inspiration from global sedan models such as the Elantra and Sonata. Meanwhile, the interior has been completely revamped to further enhance the attractiveness of the five-seater car.
At the front, the new generation Hyundai Accent features a large grille with prominent black accents, a well-proportioned split headlight design, LED daytime running lights that extend across the entire width of the hood, and sharp creases on the hood for a sportier and more personality-driven look.
Other highlights of the exterior design include sharp and personality-driven design lines on the sides of the car, newly designed alloy wheels for a stronger look, and a fastback-style roofline.
The rear of the car stands out with L-shaped LED taillights, a sleek and well-crafted trunk lid with an integrated spoiler, and a diffuser-style rear bumper with a faux skid plate.
In the cabin, Hyundai Accent 2024 is finished with two-tone colors. The car is equipped with an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster placed side by side. It also features a multifunction steering wheel, power-adjustable front seats with ventilation and massage functions.
Notable features include a Bose eight-speaker audio system, driving modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), power sunroof, electronic parking brake, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for the infotainment screen, wireless charging, BlueLink connectivity with multi-language support, automatic air conditioning, 64-color interior ambient lighting, paddle shifters, smart trunk, and smart air purifier.
In terms of safety, the 2024 Hyundai Accent will be equipped with over 65 safety features. Among these, 30 safety features will be standard on all variants. The list of standard safety features includes 6 airbags, 3-point seat belts for all seats, seat belt reminder for all positions, ABS, EBD, automatic headlights, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), child seat anchors, anti-theft alarm, rear parking sensors, etc.
Furthermore, the Hyundai Accent 2024 will also be offered with advanced ADAS driving assistance features in the Hyundai SmartSense package. Accent 2024 utilizes automatic sensor technology with front and rear radar, front sensors, and cameras to detect obstacles on the road and provide safety warnings accordingly.

In terms of powertrain, Hyundai will offer buyers a choice between a naturally aspirated 1.5L MPi petrol engine producing 113.4 horsepower/144 Nm and a turbocharged 1.5L GDI petrol engine producing 158 horsepower/253 Nm (the highest in the segment). Transmission options can be CVT 8-speed or DCT 7-speed along with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The 2024 Hyundai Accent has a length of 4,535 mm, width of 1,765 mm, and height of 1,475 mm with a longest-in-segment wheelbase of 2,670 mm and a trunk capacity of 528 liters, an increase of nearly 50 liters compared to the previous model. The new Accent is longer and wider than its predecessor.
