Suzuki continues to expand its SUV range with the latest addition, the all-new Fronx, which was launched at the Auto Expo 2023 in Delhi, India. The SUV has a more athletic appearance based on the Baleno model, while inheriting design elements from the larger Grand Vitara.
The Suzuki Fronx 2023 has dimensions of 3,995 x 1,765 x 1,550 (mm), with a wheelbase of 2,520 mm, which is 5 mm longer, 20 mm wider, and 50 mm taller than the Suzuki Baleno, which has the same wheelbase length.
Suzuki states that the Fronx targets young pioneering customers who want to stand out. The front end of the car is reminiscent of the Grand Vitara, with split headlights, chrome grille, and aluminum skid plate. However, the car has a more athletic look with prominent mudguards and 17-inch alloy wheels. The car features full-width LED taillights.
Moving inside, the car features a two-tone interior, along with high-gloss silver trim accents. The centerpiece of the interior is the 9-inch touch screen for the infotainment system, which is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other features include a head-up display, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, Arkamys sound system, rear-seat air vents, 6 airbags, and a range of in-car connectivity features.
The Suzuki Fronx is available with two petrol engine options. The first is a 1.0L turbocharged engine, combined with mild-hybrid technology for a maximum power of 99 horsepower and a peak torque of 148 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive.
Next is a naturally aspirated 1.2L engine, with a maximum power of 89 horsepower and a peak torque of 113 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission.
The Suzuki Fronx 2023 will be available for sale from April 2023, with pricing yet to be announced.
