Recently, Porsche Vietnam shared images of the limited edition sports car Porsche 911 Dakar belonging to a tycoon from Hai Phong, which has arrived at the dealership in Ho Chi Minh City after more than 3 months of cross-country travel. These images, after being posted, have received a lot of attention from the online community. Many people have expressed their admiration and respect for the adventurous spirit of the owner.
It is known that just 5 days after receiving the handover of the sports car worth over 16 billion VND, Porsche 911 Dakar 2023, the Hai Phong tycoon set out with his companions, driving three cars: Porsche 911 Dakar 2023, Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, Ford Ranger Raptor from Vietnam to China, to the Gobi Desert. This off-road supercar has overcome many terrains, from deserts to snowy roads, mountains, and even water crossings. With this journey, the Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 is estimated to have traveled about 35,000 km.
The Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 in the article is the first official imported car of its kind in Vietnam and is one of only 2,500 cars produced worldwide. The German masterpiece was brought to the country since August. The car has been personalized with some details according to the owner’s request, such as a signature on the door sill, an additional anti-rollover frame, a roof rack, a front LED light bar, and some other accessories for off-road driving.
The Porsche 911 Dakar is developed based on the platform of the standard 911 Carrera but has been upgraded to be able to travel on various terrains. Porsche has fine-tuned the suspension system, increased the ground clearance of the car by 80 mm compared to the regular 911 models, reaching a threshold of 200 mm.
Powering the Porsche 911 Dakar is a 3.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine with 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, accompanied by an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission and AWD system. With this power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h.
