The Hyundai Tucson 2024 was recently introduced in November with a sportier appearance and some changes in the interior design. The South Korean car manufacturer is expected to launch the C-segment SUV in early 2024. However, a new Tucson has been spotted in the home market while driving on the streets.
The upgraded Hyundai Tucson inherits the essence of the “Parametric Dynamics” design language from its predecessor while developing towards a more sporty and powerful direction. The front of the car stands out with a simpler grille, integrated with hidden “Parametric Jewel” LED positioning lights.
The front bumper adds an extended center air intake, separated by two air intakes with integrated LED lighting. The contrasting color bumper cover and more muscular creases enhance the car’s athleticism.
The redesigned alloy wheels maintain the angular, youthful lines of the predecessor. The rear end of the car remains largely unchanged, retaining the rear light cluster. The rear wheel arches feature simulated air vents. Similarly, the rear bumper in contrasting color extends to both sides, creating a seamless and cohesive look for the car.
The interior of the Hyundai Tucson 2024 has been revealed in images, but the accompanying features are not yet known. However, recent photos have shown that the Korean car manufacturer has optimized the cabin space by moving the gear lever to the steering column position, providing a more spacious driver’s area. The central screen is integrated with the dashboard behind the steering wheel, bringing a modern touch to the car.
The 2024 Tucson is the first upgrade after three years since its debut in September 2020, aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the fourth-generation Tucson with its competitors. The official price of the C-segment crossover in the Korean market has not been announced yet. The price will be released in the US early next year.
In Vietnam, the Hyundai Tucson made a splash in the market thanks to its good price and many convenient features. However, after Mazda CX-5 reduced its price, the sales volume decreased significantly. Specifically, in the recent month of November, 2,195 CX-5 units were sold, while Hyundai’s model only reached 1,249 units. The four versions of the Tucson are currently priced from 769-899 million VND.
In addition to the CX-5, the C-segment crossover also has to compete with the Kia Sportage, Ford Territory, and Toyota Corolla Cross.
