Yamaha Motor Vietnam has officially launched a new version for the Janus scooter model on April 13, with some improvements in design and equipment, bringing the bike a new, youthful, and dynamic style.

In terms of design, the Yamaha Janus 2022 has been given a “touch-up” in design, but overall the bike does not have too many changes compared to the previous version. Specifically, the bike still has a compact design, but not too bulky and still sleek, the straight lines in the previous version have been softened, giving the bike a more feminine and youthful look.

The overall dimensions of the Yamaha Janus 2022 are announced at 1,850 x 705 x 1,120mm, wheelbase length of 1,260mm, seat height of 770 and ground clearance of 135mm. The footrest of the bike is not too wide but still enough for users to sit comfortably.

The tail design of the Yamaha Janus 2022 remains the same with the only new point being the new pillion handle.

Going into details, the front face of the Yamaha Janus 2022 has been completely redesigned, the side panels are shaped like collars, emphasizing the position lights in the middle that have been shortened. In addition, the front turn signal pair has also been streamlined, applying LED technology to improve the visibility of the bike on the road.

Another new point is that the headlight of the bike also has a new design, accompanied by a shining chrome garnish

The pillion handle at the rear of the bike has a longer design, creating a continuous floating effect with the seat and making the tail of the bike longer. Below the seat is a 14-liter storage compartment, which can hold a half-face helmet and some personal items.

Yamaha said that this pillion handle has also been designed longer to support the passenger sitting behind

Like the previous version, the Yamaha Janus 2022 continues to use the Blue Core 125cc engine, offering smooth operation, low heat dissipation, and excellent fuel economy. In addition, the engine torque is also high at 9.6Nm, providing a better and more agile acceleration feeling.

The instrument cluster of the bike includes an analog meter displaying speed and a digital screen showing time, fuel level, distance traveled, and real-time fuel consumption. The face of the new version’s instrument cluster has also been changed in terms of interface and display method for easier observation by the rider.

The Yamaha Janus 2022 Standard version is equipped with a 4-in-1 lock, alongside a convenient helmet hook

Meanwhile, the Special and Limited versions of the bike will be equipped with the Smart Key smart lock and the SSS feature that supports temporary engine shutdown

The Yamaha Janus 2022 comes in 3 versions: Standard, Special, and Limited, which will be available on the market at the end of April with prices ranging from VND 28.2 million, VND 31.7 million, and VND 32.2 million, respectively.
