In early 2019, Vingroup launched the Vinfast brand – Vietnam’s first automobile and electric vehicle manufacturer. In just 9 months, the company introduced the Lux A2.0 Sedan and Lux SA2.0 SUV models at the Paris Motor Show in October.
One month later, the Vietnamese car brand held an event to introduce all its existing products for the Vietnam market, including the luxury LUX SA2.0 SUV, the LUX A2.0 luxury sedan, and the compact VinFast Fadil. On September 7, 2020, the VinFast President was officially introduced in a limited edition.
At CES 2022, VinFast made a big splash by unveiling 5 electric car models and announcing plans to stop production of internal combustion engines by the end of that year. The Vietnamese automaker also began accepting deposits for the VF8 and VF9 models.
