In India, the new Hyundai i20 still uses the same engine as the current version, including 4 petrol engine variants with a 1.2-liter VTVT Kappa engine producing 83 horsepower and 117 Nm of torque, 5-speed manual transmission, priced at around 8,000 – 10,500 USD. The other 4 variants use a 1.4-liter CRDi diesel engine, producing 90 horsepower and 224 Nm of torque, 6-speed manual transmission, priced at around 10,000 – 12,500 USD.

One of the attractive information in India is the price of this model is only from 4.9 – 7.67 lakh, equivalent to 8,000 – 12,500 USD, a dream number for many Vietnamese people.
Explaining why the new i20 first appeared in India, some experts believe that the Korean automaker is increasing its presence in a potential market with the world’s largest population. Previously, Hyundai had launched the Grand i10 here and achieved unexpected success. The Grand i10 is also imported and distributed by Hyundai Thanh Cong in Vietnam, with the highest sales volume in the market.
