In the past, General Motors was afraid that the Pontiac brand would produce a sports car to compete with the Chevrolet Corvette. Consequently, the famous American automaker decided to give up a spot in the muscle car segment to Pontiac by sharing the platform used for the Chevrolet Camaro.
The result was the production of a well-known muscle car by Pontiac called the Firebird. The car continued to be produced until 2002.
Similarly to most other muscle cars, the most successful generation of the Pontiac Firebird was born in the late ’60s and early ’70s. This is the second generation of the Pontiac Firebird with a massive V8 engine with a 7.5-liter displacement, the largest ever produced by GM.
Up until now, the Pontiac brand has been absent from the global market for over 3 years. Therefore, classic Pontiac cars have become highly valuable in the eyes of collectors.

In addition, some Pontiac cars have been used for restoration or customizing, with modernized engines and electronic systems along with fresh interior and exterior designs. One notable example is the 1970 Pontiac Firebird customized by All Speed Customs based on the owner’s request, named Tom Conkright.
The car is equipped with a massive 7.8-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine. Alongside are several significant upgrades under the hood.

The All Speed Customs customized Pontiac Firebird is covered with a triple-layered black paint, creating a rugged and masculine look. Additionally, it features high-performance aluminum alloy wheels with a diameter of 19 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear.

Inside the car, there is a redesigned space with double-stitched leather seats, a customized center console, an aluminum dashboard, and door handles made from metal blanks.
