The recent announcement from VietinBank and VietinBank AMC regarding the seizure of a McLaren 765LT supercar owned by C.T.L.P., born in 1991, has caused a stir on social media. This is a limited edition car, with only 765 Coupe versions produced worldwide, so its rarity is indisputable.

Recently, the bank has taken a further step to recover the debt. Accordingly, VietinBank Asset Management Corporation (VietinBank AMC) has announced that they have selected a joint auction company called Thien Binh to organize the auction for the sale of the McLaren 765LT supercar with license plate 51K-011.86.

The auction time and other details have not been disclosed, but the initial price set by the bank is over 27.5 billion VND. Meanwhile, at the time of importation to Vietnam in 2021, this limited edition supercar was priced at over 35 billion VND, excluding registration costs. As a result, the total cost of the car was nearly 40 billion VND.

The McLaren 765LT supercar was seized by VietinBank to ensure debt recovery from the customer C.T.L.P. (born in 1991, residing in Thu Duc district, Ho Chi Minh City). This car used to be famous as part of a collection owned by a wealthy individual. After a few years of use, the owner sold it to K-Super showroom, owned by Phan Cong Khanh, and it passed through several owners afterward.

The McLaren 765LT features a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine that produces a maximum power output of 755 horsepower and a peak torque of 800 Nm. Compared to the McLaren 720S, the 765LT is 45 horsepower and 30 Nm more powerful.

The engine is combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that has been refined for 15% quicker shifting compared to the McLaren 720S. As a result, the McLaren 765LT can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 7 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 330 km/h.
