This college student has been lucky enough to hit the license plate number 37E1-888.88 for her newly purchased Honda Vision motorbike.
On December 28, a representative of Thanh Dong Commune Police (Thanh Chuong District, Nghe An Province) said that a citizen in the area had hit the license plate number 37 E1-888.88.
It is known that this “golden hand” belongs to a 21-year-old female student, originally from Thanh Dong Commune and currently studying at the Hanoi National University of Finance.
According to a representative of Thanh Dong Commune Police, the citizen herself performed the random license plate number selection process on the computer software system at the Thanh Dong Commune Police headquarters on the afternoon of December 28 and received the license plate 37E1-888.88.
This “quintuple 8” license plate will be installed on the black Honda Vision motorbike that this female student recently purchased for 35 million VND.
According to license plate enthusiasts, the “quintuple 8” is a VIP number set that comes right after the quintuple 9. Because, according to the belief of the Asian people, the number 8 in Chinese pronunciation is “ba”, which is homonymous with the word “phat” meaning wealth, prosperity, and fortune. From there, vehicle enthusiasts always hunt for and seek out license plates with quintuple 8, even if they are attached to an ordinary vehicle.
However, according to the provisions of Circular No. 24/2023 effective from August 15, vehicle license plates are issued and managed by identification numbers, meaning “plates follow the person” instead of “plates follow the vehicle” as before.
Therefore, the aforementioned “quintuple 8″ license plate is only significant and valuable to the individual who won it and cannot be transferred to another person,” a source from Thanh Dong Commune Police reported.
