Introducing the Toyota Land Cruiser 2024, which was officially launched in the European market in September and was made available for sale in Germany on December 21.
However, after just 30 minutes of being on sale, the registration link for deposits had to be closed because the 1,000 vehicles available in this round were quickly secured by customers. Currently, those interested in purchasing a car will have to register on a waiting list.
In the German market, the Land Cruiser 2024 will be sold in 3 versions: Executive, Tec, and First Edition.
Toyota did not specify the quantity for each version in the first batch of 1,000 vehicles, but the company had previously confirmed that the Land Cruiser First Edition, intended for the entire European market, would only have 3,000 units.
It is expected that the first cars will be delivered to German customers in the third quarter of 2024.
The Land Cruiser 2024 in the European market is developed based on Toyota’s global platform, the GA-F chassis.
In the European market, the Land Cruiser 2024 will initially be equipped with a 2.8L turbodiesel engine, producing 201 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. From 2025, Toyota will add a diesel mild-hybrid version that utilizes a 48V charging system.
For safety, the Toyota Land Cruiser 2024 comes with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 package, which includes advanced features such as cruise control, pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic headlights, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and more…
Not only in Germany, but in its home country of Japan, Toyota has also had to temporarily pause taking deposits for the Land Cruiser model to handle an order volume of over 1 million units.
