Just before the 2024 New Year holiday, Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc held a special introduction for the next-generation Santa Fe. With a boxy design inspired by the “luxury car” Defender, this mid-size SUV is expected to be launched in the Philippines in the first quarter of 2024.
In the Philippines, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe will have two drivetrain options; a 2.5L turbocharged engine producing 281 horsepower with 421 Nm of torque, and a 1.6L turbocharged hybrid engine producing 230 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.
Currently, HMPH is still displaying the new generation Santa Fe, expected to last until January 12th. The displayed vehicle is painted in a burnt orange exterior color, which is one of the 6 exterior colors that will be available in the Philippines.
First launched in July 2023, the new generation Santa Fe has a completely new and attractive boxy design.
In terms of size, the all-new Santa Fe has a length of 4,830mm, a width of 1,900mm, a height of 1,720mm, and a wheelbase of 2,815mm. Compared to the previous generation, the new SUV is 45mm longer, 10mm taller, and has a 50mm longer wheelbase (the width remains the same).
Similar to the exterior, the all-new interior of the Santa Fe has also been significantly upgraded. The dashboard stands out with a pair of high-resolution screens, combining a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment screen.
There is currently no detailed information about the features of the Santa Fe for the Southeast Asia region, but in other global markets, the vehicle is equipped with dual wireless charging, interior LED ambient lighting, Nappa leather seats, four-zone automatic climate control, and an intelligent driver assistance system. Lastly, but equally important, the Philippines version of the Santa Fe will have a 7-seater configuration.
