Watch China’s YangWang U9 electric supercar spin 360 degrees on the streets, no need to worry about making U-turns

If BYD were to officially open an authorized dealership in Vietnam, it is highly possible that they will bring the blockbuster YangWang U9 for display. Apart from the 360-degree rotating feature, this electric supercar can also bounce and run with only 3 wheels.

FinDreams is a subsidiary of BYD, the largest Chinese automobile brand. Their mission is to create a wide range of electric vehicles, and to fulfill that vision, they have established the YangWang brand with flagship products such as the U8, a premium SUV, and the U9, the country’s first electric supercar.

Interestingly, BYD has expressed its intention to officially open authorized dealerships in Vietnam, and it is very likely that they will showcase the two masterpieces from YangWang. If you are a car enthusiast, YangWang U9 might captivate you with its design, butterfly doors, powerful engine, and unique features.

For example, when the YangWang U9 electric supercar is driven by a driver from the showroom onto the road, instead of having to reverse, the driver can activate the in-place rotation feature. This means that with just the press of a button, the YangWang U9 electric car will rotate 360 degrees, which is quite interesting and convenient for the driver.

A video clip shows the YangWang U9 car smoothly performing a 360-degree rotation, and a passerby on a motorcycle stopped to watch this unique demonstration, which very few cars are equipped with. In addition to the 360-degree rotation feature, the YangWang U9 electric supercar can also bounce and even jump with all 4 wheels off the ground and run on only 3 wheels. Because of this, the car is priced at 3.24 billion VND in China, equivalent to the price of a BMW Z4 in Vietnam. If it were sold in Vietnam, it is likely that the YangWang U9 would be priced below 7 billion VND.

The YangWang U9 is equipped with 4 electric motors, generating a maximum output of 1,100 horsepower and a peak torque of 1,280 Nm. Thanks to this, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds and travel 700 km on a full charge. In addition, the YangWang U9 has a 4-wheel electronic control drive system with complex torque distribution capabilities.
