Just officially launched in China, Toyota continues to schedule the introduction of the Camry 2024 in the Southeast Asia region.

Recently, the Japanese automaker officially launched the 9th generation Camry model in the market neighboring our country, China. And not making the countries in Southeast Asia wait, Toyota has just confirmed the schedule to introduce the Camry 2024 in this region.

Specifically, according to the Headlightmag, this midsize sedan will be officially introduced in Thailand in October this year. After the Thai market, Toyota Camry 2024 will be introduced in Vietnam.

In the 9th generation, the Toyota Camry is still developed based on the TNGA platform but has been refined to bring a fresh and youthful look. The design of the Toyota Camry 2024 is divided into 2 styles named Sport and Luxury. The difference between these 2 variants is clearly shown in the front area of the car.

With the Toyota Camry 2024 Sport version, the car will be equipped with a large-sized honeycomb-shaped front grille, 2 vertically positioned black-colored air vents and integrated round fog lights.

Meanwhile, the Luxury version has a narrower grille with fox-eye-shaped chrome grille with the same color as the body, narrower air vents at the two corners of the car compared to the Sport style.

On the side, there are still prominent crease lines extending from the front fender to the tail lights along with a set of multi-spoke wheels with sizes ranging from 17-19 inches (depending on the version). At the rear of the car, there is a newly designed taillight cluster in the shape of the letter “C” which looks more slim and smooth, along with a redesigned rear bumper.

Inside the cabin, the interior of the Toyota Camry 2024 has been significantly upgraded compared to the previous generation. The car is equipped with a redesigned 7-inch digital instrument cluster, while the 8-inch infotainment screen is placed upright on the dashboard.

The touch-sensitive button on the wood trim and the newly designed central control panel, 9-speaker JBL sound system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, keyless start, wireless phone charging, power-adjustable/heated/ventilated seats, head-up display information display with augmented reality technology, Huawei HiCar, panoramic 2-piece sunroof with an area of ​​1.03 square meters, 15W wireless phone charger, 11-speaker audio system, and 64-color interior ambient lighting.

In the Luxury version, the Toyota Camry 2024 is equipped with a 12.3-inch size digital instrument cluster and center screen. Just below the center screen is a touch surface integrated into the dashboard to control the air conditioning.

Especially, the Camry 2024 in China is also equipped with an operating system developed by Huawei, thereby improving voice control features through artificial intelligence. The car also supports many additional applications such as WeChat, navigation, and software updates via Wifi.

Toyota Camry 2024 in the Chinese market is powered by 3 engine options. The first is a 2.0L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, combined with a continuously variable transmission CVT.

The second is a hybrid powertrain with a 2.0L gasoline engine, generating a maximum power of 197 horsepower and an average fuel consumption of only 4.2 liters/100 km. The third is a hybrid powertrain with a 2.5L gasoline engine.

In terms of safety, the new generation Toyota Camry is equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 safety technology package on all versions. This system includes advanced features such as forward collision warning to detect vehicles and pedestrians, adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, road sign assist, automatic headlights, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
