The first Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider has been delivered to a customer, more than two years after its debut.
Introduced in August 2021, the Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider is the fastest convertible sports car ever produced by the British automaker. This supercar inherits many technologies from the F1 race cars of the Red Bull Racing team.
After more than 2 years, Aston Martin has announced the delivery of the first Valkyrie Spider. The owner of this car is a loyal fan of the brand, who also owns a Valkyrie coupe and a classic DB5.
Aston Martin will only produce a total of 260 Valkyries. Among them, 150 are coupe versions, 85 are convertibles, and 25 are Valkyrie AMR Pros.
The first Valkyrie Spider delivered features an elegant British Racing Green exterior paint. The main difference between the Valkyrie Spider and the coupe version is that the roof is made of removable carbon fiber, which can be manually detached to transform the car into a convertible. In addition, the gullwing doors on the coupe version have been replaced by butterfly doors on the convertible.
Similar to the coupe version, the Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider is equipped with a 6.5L V12 hybrid engine, generating a total output of 1,155 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. With this power, the British supercar can reach a top speed of 330km/h with the top down and over 350 km/h with the top closed.
There is currently no information on the price of the Valkyrie Spider, but it is expected to be higher than the starting price of $3.2 million for the coupe version.
