VinFast MirrorSense awarded Innovation Award Honoree at CES 2024

The award recognizes not only VinFast’s technological advancements, but also the position and potential of Vietnamese brands in the global tech market.

VinFast MirrorSense is an automatic mirror adjustment technology developed through a collaboration between VinFast Auto (Nasdaq: VFS) and VinAI, a subsidiary of Vingroup specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) research and development.

MirrorSense technology accurately detects the driver’s head position and eye gaze with a precision of 10mm, automatically adjusting the positions of all corresponding mirrors. This breakthrough combines exclusive AI algorithms with intuitive and user-friendly design. MirrorSense has been trained with 25,000,000 images of 250,000 real-life subjects and its performance has been validated with 504 videos collected from 126 participants. It can seamlessly integrate with smart vehicles equipped with Driver Monitoring Systems.

VinFast MirrorSense can easily be expanded to enhance driving safety applications such as Augmented Reality Head-up Display (AR HUD) and automatic seat adjustment, providing a smart, convenient, and safe driving experience on all journeys.

In addition to MirrorSense, VinFast and VinAI will introduce other breakthrough technologies at CES 2024, including the Driver & Occupants Monitoring Systems (DOMS), the Advanced Surround View Monitoring System (ASVM) that detects and alerts blind spots around the vehicle, and JellyView that provides a transparent view of the surroundings from inside the driver’s cabin for detecting obstacles or hazards on the road.

These advanced technologies will be integrated into VinFast electric vehicles and showcased at Booth 6417, Las Vegas Convention Center from January 9-12, 2024. The event promises to provide visitors with an exciting glimpse into the future of electric vehicle technology.

The Innovation Award Honoree is an annual competition that showcases innovative designs and technological applications in consumer tech products.
