At CES 2024, VinFast officially introduces the DrgnFly electric bike to the US market. With the message “Lead with style,” DrgnFly is a unique and exciting choice that brings electric mobility closer to everyone’s homes.
The product name “DrgnFly” is inspired by the image of a flying dragon, symbolizing the glorious history of the Vietnamese people. DrgnFly is officially launched just one year after demonstrating VinFast’s determination to bring green mobility closer to everyone.
VinFast DrgnFly will first debut in the US market with an expected price starting from $2,800, comes with a 2-year official warranty, and unlimited range. The product will be gradually introduced in other countries in the near future.
As a collaboration between VinFast and Eskild Hansen, a creative studio from Denmark that has won prestigious Red Dot awards, DrgnFly combines classic style with sustainable transportation of the future. DrgnFly’s standout design features a elongated frame with a V shape that resembles the image of a flying dragon – “Thang Long,” symbolizing VinFast’s breakthrough efforts. From design to experience, DrgnFly has an extended handlebar, large tires, and an ergonomic saddle applied, thereby optimizing the driving experience for users to confidently conquer any journey.
The DrgnFly frame is made of aluminum to ensure durability and flexibility when rolling. The battery is placed on the frame, creating a harmonious combination of classic style and technology. With a range of up to 102 km per full charge and easy-to-remove battery, the lithium battery makes DrgnFly a modern, convenient, and easily accessible electric mobility solution for everyone.
DrgnFly uses a 750W motor integrated into the rear wheel, a single-speed transmission, and a torque sensor that allows the bike to reach a smooth and immediate maximum speed of 45 km/h.
In addition, DrgnFly’s advanced energy optimization system enables users to travel longer distances with multiple riding modes. The smooth-tuned torque sensor detects motion changes at up to 16,000 times/second, far exceeding traditional sensors of regular electric bikes.
