Suzuki Jimny 5-door now available at a discounted price

After nearly six months since its debut, the pricing for the 5-door variant of the Suzuki Jimny has been officially confirmed. Initially, this "mini G-Class" will only be available in the Indian market.

According to Rushlane, the 5-door version of the Suzuki Jimny has been officially priced in the Indian market. The “baby G-Class” model will have 2 variants, Zeta and Alpha, in the Indian market with prices ranging from 1,274 million to 1,505 million Rupee, equivalent to 15,430-18,228 USD.

Specifically, the Zeta variant with a manual transmission will have the lowest price among the 5-door Suzuki Jimny products in the Indian market. The Alpha variant of this model with a 2-tone exterior and an automatic transmission will be priced highest at 1,505 million Rupee, equivalent to 18,228 USD.

In India, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny will have exterior color options including Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, Granite Gray, Pearl Arctic White, and Sizzling Red. If customers in this populous market prefer 2-tone models, they can choose a body color of Sizzling Red or Kinetic Yellow combined with a Bluish Black roof color.

According to the manufacturer’s announcement, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny has a length of 3,985 mm, an increase of 340 mm compared to the 3-door version. The width and height of the 5-door Jimny remain at 1,645 mm and 1,720 mm, while the wheelbase has increased slightly to 2,590 mm.

The 5-door Jimny has a ground clearance of 210 mm. Compared to the 3-door version, this variant weighs an additional 100 kg.

Fabric seats, manual air conditioning, and a 7-inch touchscreen are standard equipment on the 5-door Suzuki Jimny.

In the Alpha variant, the “baby G-Class” is supplemented with features such as push-button start, smart key, automatic air conditioning, and a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support.

Under the hood, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny is equipped with a 1.5L K15B petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 105 hp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 134.2 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

As of the end of May, reports indicate that the 5-door Suzuki Jimny has received a total of 30,000 pre-orders in India. According to the plan, this model will be delivered to Indian customers starting from mid-June.

It is known that the 5-door Suzuki Jimny is produced at a factory in Gurugram and is exclusively for the Indian market. At the moment, it is still unclear Suzuki’s next distribution plans for this model in other markets around the world.
