Recently, a private showroom announced the sale of a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT at a price nearly 2 billion VND lower than when it first arrived in Vietnam, which surprised many people. This price is considered a “discount” as other units are selling at 3.5-3.7 billion VND.

Sharing with Autodaily, Mr. Nguyen Duy – the owner of the showroom selling the car – said that the electric SUV from Ford is being sold for 3.3 billion VND, while the price of the car when it first arrived in Vietnam was up to 5.2 billion VND. In fact, the showroom is suffering losses as in 2024, the car has “lost” 3 generations.

Previously, the car had reduced its price several times in order to find an owner but was unsuccessful. The price dropped to 4.5 billion VND, then 4 billion VND, and 2 months ago, the price dropped to about 3.5 billion VND.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is Ford’s first electric car, but it is not officially distributed due to its high post-tax price. The car was introduced to the US market in 2019. According to the company’s official website in its home country, the starting price for the GT edition is $59,995 (equivalent to around 1.46 billion VND).

According to Autodaily’s research, the Ford Mustang Mach-E in the article is the first one to arrive in Vietnam, imported by a private unit. So far, only 2 cars have been brought to Vietnam. The remaining car is owned by a Saigon tycoon. The first car is still waiting for an owner.

This model has dimensions of 4,739 x 1,881 x 1,621 mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of 2,984 mm. With a coupe-style and sporty design, the car stands out thanks to some black details on the exterior along with its main orange paint.

The front of the car does not have a traditional grille. The Mustang’s “wild horse” logo shines in the center. The LED lighting system is designed with angular headlights, featuring a simple positioning LED strip. The air intakes and black front bumper create highlights.

The wheels are multi-spoke wheels made of aluminum, with a size of 20 inches, different from other electric car models on the market. Inside, it stands out with high-performance red Brembo brake calipers, accompanied by large-sized brake discs.

The interior of this Ford Mustang Mach-E GT model mainly uses black tones, enhanced by contrasting white stitching. The control panel reduces physical buttons, integrated into the vertical 15.5-inch central screen. The air conditioning system is located below, while the upper part is used for entertainment and some other functions.

The car’s sound system is a premium Bang & Olufsen system with 10 speakers. Some other safety technologies of the car include Co-Pilot 360 driving assistance, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assistance, emergency braking assistance, etc.

The GT version of the Mustang Mach-E is equipped with an electric motor and a 98.8 kWh battery pack, which supplies power to both front and rear electric motors. It produces a power output of 480 horsepower and 860 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.

The ideal operating range is nearly 500 km, but in reality, it can reach up to 600 km. Its fast charging capability allows for a 10 to 80% charge in 45 minutes.
