According to sales advice, around April 2024, Haval will continue to introduce a B-segment SUV model called Jolion in Vietnam.
It is expected that the car will be distributed in two versions: petrol and hybrid. The price of the car will be around 700 million VND.
If this information is true, the B-segment SUV/CUV segment in Vietnam will be very lively when it has welcomed two “newcomers” at the beginning of the year: Mitsubishi Xforce and Haval Jolion.
Haval Jolion has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,472 x 1,841 x 1,574 and a wheelbase length of 2,700 mm. These dimensions are slightly larger than those of its competitors in the same segment.
Haval Jolion 2023 has a sporty and modern design. The front of the car stands out with a large “fallen star” grille similar to its “sibling” Haval H6. Extending on both sides of the grille are large LED headlights with 3 square-shaped lights arranged side by side, accompanied by a sleek daytime running light strip designed in the shape of the number 7, which is quite eye-catching.
The rear of the car features LED taillights with a design similar to the front, accompanied by a shiny chrome rear bumper.
In addition, this B-segment SUV also has other basic equipment such as a wind deflector, brake lights, shark fin antenna, and rear automatic wiper.
In terms of the interior, the cabin of the car has many details similar to Haval H6. The car possesses a range of modern conveniences such as a 3-spoke steering wheel with integrated function buttons; behind the steering wheel is a 7-inch digital screen; the center screen is a 12.3-inch screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connection; independent dual-zone air conditioning with rear vents; 6-speaker sound system; rotary knob gear lever; electronic parking brake with auto hold; USB charging port; panoramic sunroof…
It is not known what safety features the car will have when it comes to Vietnam. In the Thai market, Jolion has an advanced ADAS safety package including features such as lane keeping assist, emergency automatic braking, blind spot warning… in addition to a 360-degree camera, tire pressure sensors, front and rear collision sensors, and 6 airbags.
The car is powered by two engine options: petrol and hybrid.
The first is the hybrid powertrain, which is a combination of a 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine and 1 electric motor. This powertrain produces a total output of 190 horsepower and a maximum torque of 375 Nm.
Combined with the above engine is front-wheel drive and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The second option is a turbocharged 1.5L petrol engine with a power output of 147 horsepower and a torque of 220 Nm, also using a similar transmission.
