In May last year, Honda Vietnam officially handed over the latest generation Honda Civic Type R street racing car to customers who had pre-ordered the car. Among them, one car enthusiast went all the way to Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province to receive the Honda Civic Type R and then drove it back to Saigon.
This is Vin Tran, a well-known biker in Vietnam. Right after receiving the car, he experienced this Honda Civic Type R street racing car on various roads and shared that it consumes more fuel than a BMW GS Adventure motorcycle. With a full tank of 30 liters, the motorcycle can run up to 600 km, while the Honda Civic Type R 2023 has a fuel tank capacity of 47 liters and can only run about 240 km.
This sharing then received a lot of attention from the online community. After some time, Vin Tran made another update about his Honda Civic Type R car, and this time, he decided to sell his beloved car after more than half a year of ownership.
According to this biker, the Honda Civic Type R street racing car has only traveled 5,000 km and has been upgraded with many accessories such as Miltek Catback exhaust system, PRL Air Intake filter, 4 customized rims, front Strut Bar, and PRL Front Pipe (being shipped from the US).
Vin Tran’s selling price is 2.45 billion VND, while Honda Vietnam announced the official selling price for this car model is 2.4 billion VND, excluding additional fees. However, it is important to note that dealerships are no longer accepting orders for the Honda Civic Type R because the company only distributes 18 cars in the Vietnamese market.
The impressive feature of the 2023 Honda Civic Type R is under the hood. Here, the car is equipped with a 2.0L VTEC turbocharged gasoline engine with 4 cylinders, delivering a maximum power of 315 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 420 Nm at a range of 2,600 – 4,000 rpm.
The power is transmitted to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, allowing the car to reach a top speed of 272 km/h. This upgraded transmission is combined with an automatic throttle system (Rev Match System), promising a smooth and exhilarating driving experience. In addition, the high-performance version of the Honda Civic also has 4 driving modes including Comfort, Sport, Individual, and +R.
