Recently, Great Wall Motor has officially revealed the first images of its new second-generation SUV, the H9.

According to the plan, the Haval H9 will be launched in April, at the Beijing Auto Show. After that, the car will continue to be introduced to European markets around August 2024.

Developed on a separate frame platform, the H9 has dimensions of 4,859 x 1,934 x 1,853 (mm). Although slightly smaller than the Ford Everest, it is larger than the Isuzu mu-X.

The Haval H9 has a robust and square design. It impresses with its strong horizontal grille and distinctive round LED headlights. Meanwhile, the rear design is reminiscent of the Land Rover Defender.

The interior of the car has not been revealed yet. According to many sources, the car will be equipped with two 12.3-inch screens, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a premium 10-speaker audio system.

In the Chinese market, the Haval H9 will have two engine options.

First is the 2.0T petrol engine with a power output of 165 horsepower and torque of 385 Nm. The engine will come with automatic transmission and 4WD. According to the company’s announcement, the fuel consumption of the car will be around 10.2 to 10.7 L per 100 km, with a top speed of 180 km/h.

The second option is the 2.4T diesel engine with a power output of 181 horsepower. The torque figures have not been disclosed. The car will have a top speed of 170 km/h.

The car is expected to go into production from May 2024 in China, before being exported to other markets.
